Intresting and informative share

none of these fit my personality at all.

Hi abdel, thanks!!

Hi Carol? Did you take the personality exam? It might be that you are a combination of all of them. :)

I am a therapist and I administer the tests, I do the real ones, not the stuff on the Internet which really doesn't mean anything at all, for example what about if you favorite colour is orange or purple or brown, see what I mean

Hi carol, this test has nothing to do with your favorite color. Being a therapist I'm sure you have come across this test already. The color is simply to differentiate each personality type. This was test that was given to us during a company team building to make us more aware of each personality type that we encounter at the work.

the thing is they are fun tests but they don't have any backing in science, even the amount of personalty types differ there is no agreement on the in the world of psychology. This test is very loosely based on personality types but no scientific backing for example I am not any of the 4 personalities as presented here. I would not ever judge my partner based on one of four colours he had to choose on a test. It is just fun and that is it.

Yes it was fun. But during the team building all of us realized that the test gave us accurate result. It's not really relying on the test per se to tell ya ou what type of personality you are. The goal was to make each one realize these different types of personality and educate us how best to deal with each type of personality to create a more harmonious work environment. If you have taken a look on the test you will find that it's not asking you to choose any color rather to analyze yourself and choose the option that best describes yourself. It is asking you to give an honest assessment of yourself. The sample test was a simpler version I found online of that which we took during the actual personality testing.

I have seen this test before and I am not one of the believe that agree with it. I do not fall into that bracket of personalities, The tests that I give credence too has 4 personalities but in combination there are 16 different personalty types. This one is too restricted and is not that well accepted among the psychology community. There is no way to explain other than you know how to do psychology research and then it would make more sense to you. It is just fun and a good introduction to personalities but it is not an accurate test and not used by many psychologists because of it.

I suppose the purpose of this test wasn't really to give a thorough analysis of our personalities but just a general analysis to make us more aware of these types of personalities. It was helpful for us during the team buidling that we did so I thought to share it here. That's all there is to it. Not to give a thorough and in-depth analysis of anyone, that job goes to real psychologists.

yes it gives a general introduction and it is fun, but only I wanted to tell you is that there is are many more personalities than is presented here, there are people who are mixtures of the reds, blues, greens and yellows, these personalty types are not etched in stone. I knew the closest I would be was blue, and then I did the test and it came out that way but on a real psychology personality test my personality is a mixture. Also just something to think about, the questions are about the same as the other tests but there will be people who will not answer truthfully, for example, they may not even know they give up easily and so if they answer that the don't the test is already less accurate and the more people answer incorrectly the more inaccurate the personality type becomes. It is a known fact if you provide a a personality type to someone and it is very general chances are they will say yes that is exactly how I am. This is what happens with horoscopes as well. I did research on that in university. and the results were that people agreed to real horoscopes, switched horoscopes, and even crap I made up and said yes this was their true personality. It is really fascinating this area of research.

I was not just one color either, I'm a combination of blue and green, and I mentioned that as well, that all of us are probably a combination of one of two or even all of the color types. I totally agree with what you said. But still it does give us a more or less general perspective of ourselves and people we deal with everyday. I never believed in horoscopes but do acknowledge that it gets it right sometimes. Thanks for the insights, it added more dimension to this article. :)

Interesting and informative piece! Although..I'm not sure reliable this test is. But thanks anyway for the insight. Voted

thank you my friend

It's a good article and a good article should provoke expressions and discussion, well done

liked it, thanks

It stands without objections that this article is perfect. Because every person is able to find a lot of useful information about yourself. For example color of my personality is yellow and I have realized that it's essential for me to spend more time with my warm-hearted friends. They are my link with happy life.

The primary colors are red, blue and yellow, and a combination of these colors allows you to create all the colors of the rainbow, which are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. The primary colors are the only colors that you cannot make by mixing other colors together and are the foundation for other colors of the rainbow. Thanks.

These have generally been dismissed by the scientific community as not valid. The only ones that are currently accepted as indicative for personality inventories are the 16PF and other tests that are based on "The Big Five".
